Formula 1 returns to Malaysia in October 2026 for the first race at Sepang International Circuit since 2017. Away from the circuit, Race Weekend Festival Malaysia will bring the action to XOX Arena at The Arch Galeries with a live race screening, international and local DJ performances, motorsport experiences, food and entertainment.

From 2–4 October 2026, Formula 1 returns to Sepang International Circuit for the first time in nine years. The race weekend is officially titled the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.
Sepang is known for its long straights, fast corners, overtaking opportunities and unpredictable tropical weather. Its return places Malaysia back on the Formula 1 calendar and gives local fans the chance to experience a Grand Prix weekend at home once again.
Race Weekend Festival takes place separately at XOX Arena in central Kuala Lumpur, giving fans another way to experience race day together without being at the circuit.
At Race Weekend Festival, fans can follow the race live on the big screen and experience every overtake, pit stop and on-track battle in a shared crowd atmosphere.
The music lineup is led by internationally recognised DJ and producer R3HAB, joined by Ian Asher. The supporting lineup includes BLINK, Perry Kuan, Reeve, Julian and Smooth Brain Girly.
With racing, music and entertainment in one programme, the event is designed for motorsport fans, music lovers and groups looking for a full Sunday experience in Kuala Lumpur.
